Rich Bornstein

Director and Producer

Two-time Emmy-nominated Rich Bornstein leads a powerhouse team at Bornstein Media, known for crafting emotionally charged and visually striking campaigns that move audiences and drive engagement.

With a background spanning Hollywood studios, global brands, and mission-driven organizations, Rich has become the go-to voice for storytelling that resonates. His work with Disney, Apple TV, Adobe, Warner Bros., ESPN, and Universal Studios blends emotional connection with strategic clarity and measurable impact.

Rich didn't just follow trends—he created them. He pioneered the transformation of Oscar campaign advertising from trades-only to a traditional media and content approach, reshaping how the industry promotes awards contenders. His innovative identification of "niche film" markets—faith-based, LGBTQ+, and Indian cinema—opened doors to more inclusive audiences and transformed distribution strategies industry-wide.

His Adobe After Effects global campaign generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue and accelerated Adobe's transition to a SaaS-based model, fundamentally reshaping the software industry.

A former journalist who began his career at the Long Beach Press-Telegram, contributing to Time, Newsweek, and US Magazine, Rich brings sharp editorial instincts to every project. His diabetes advocacy series for CNBC reached more than 20 million viewers, while his recent Spectrum News One stories celebrating iconic L.A. landmarks—including the Whisky A Go-Go, Kip's Toyland, and the $300 million L.A. Coliseum renovation—earned two local Emmy nominations.

From launching the Sundance Channel and helping establish it as today's popular viewing destination to shaping the phenomenon of "American Gladiators," Rich has always been ahead of the curve. As Head of National Feature Film Publicity at Paramount, he spearheaded the efforts for "Wayne's World" and managed the iconic "Star Trek" series. As Head of Worldwide Marketing at Goldwyn, he advanced the careers of visionaries including Ang Lee, Kenneth Branagh, Anthony Minghella, and Julia Roberts.

Rich is a member of both the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy, and recipient of the prestigious Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Award.

Whether elevating cause-driven brands, leading Oscar and Emmy campaigns, or launching streaming platforms, his mission remains the same: inspire, engage, and create stories that spark action.
